
ASEAN (Singapore) Business Delegation Conducts Exchange and Inspection Tour in Macau-Hengqin, Exploring New Opportunities for Cooperation From June 16 to 19, the ASEAN business delegation embarked on an exchange and inspection tour in Macau and Hengqin, focusing on the business environment and industrial collaboration between the two regions to explore new development opportunities.
The tour was initiated by Singapore Toyo International Education and jointly organized by (Macau) Aode International Business Travel Co., Ltd., Hengqin Toyo Cultural Development Co., Ltd., and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cultural Exchange Association.
On the 16th, the delegation arrived at the Hengqin-Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone.
On the 17th, they attended a thematic lecture at the Hengqin Innovation Development Research Institute and engaged in discussions with leaders from the Economic Development Bureau of the Hengqin-Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone to gain deeper insights into the business environment and policies, as well as enhance their understanding of Macau-Hengqin integration and industrial synergy. Subsequently, they visited facilities related to the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) industry in Macau and Hengqin, including an in-depth tour of the Hengqin Pien Tze Huang Museum. From industrial park introductions to corporate visits, the delegation thoroughly explored the potential for cooperation in the TCM sector. They then visited the Hengqin campus of Tongyu International Education to experience China's latest educational trends, including AI education and vocational training driven by new quality productive forces, as well as industrial linkages.
On the 18th, the delegation inspected Hengqin's business-friendly environment before crossing into Macau in the afternoon. They visited historical and cultural landmarks such as the Ruins of St. Paul's, the Handover Gifts Museum of Macau, and the Lotus Square. In the evening, they attended a welcome banquet at Macau Fisherman's Wharf, immersing themselves in the local culture and Macau's sincerity in promoting diversified industrial development and investment cooperation.
On the 19th, the delegation focused on pathways and policies for Macau's trade and economic collaboration with Portuguese-speaking countries. They visited the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Cooperation Platform Exhibition Hall and held discussions with leaders from the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute to deepen their understanding of Macau's role as a commercial and trade platform.
This inspection tour established a bridge for exchanges between ASEAN and Macau-Hengqin across multiple industries, helping all parties identify cooperation highlights and promote regional collaborative development. The delegation looks forward to more practical cooperation outcomes in the future.
